The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth organization in India that plays a crucial role in shaping the character and leadership qualities of the country's youth. Established on April 16, 1948, under the National Cadet Corps Act, the NCC aims to develop qualities of leadership, discipline, patriotism, and a spirit of adventure among the youth.

NCC operates under the Ministry of Defence and is open to students from schools and colleges. It is a voluntary organization, and participation in its activities is not mandatory. The NCC is divided into Army, Navy, and Air Force wings, providing cadets with opportunities to choose their preferred service.
