Department of Statistics

Tyagbir Hem Baruah (THB) college is an educational institution of the Sonitpur District. The Department of Statistics forms an integral part of THB College academic spheres. The Department was initiated in the year 1984 under the affiliation of Gauhati University with Late Mrs Purabi Baruah as the founder Head. The Department offers regular course in Statistics with two permanent Assistant Professors. The faculty members of the department are focusing on the upgradation of the departmental profile. The Department has a departmental library. The faculty members are earnestly developing research culture.

MISSION :   To create a pool of statistical knowledge for workers to empower students to face the challenges of future life.
