The Post Graduate Correspondence School (PGCS), presently known as Institute of Distance and Open learning (IDOL) was established in Gauhati University in the year 1998. Started with Post Graduate Courses in 4 Subjects, T.H.B. College Study Centre of IDOL is offering both Under-Graduate and Post Graduate Courses in 9 programmes. Students are provided Self-Learning Materials and counseling services in the respective courses. IDOL T.H.B. College Study Centre strives to accommodate the students of greater Naduar area who are outside of the conventional formal system of higher education. Moreover, IDOL, T.H.B. College Study Centre tries to impart quality education among the youths in a changing environment. At present the study centre has 145 students.
